The Opinel knife, or simply called ”The Opinel”, is a folding pocket knife with wooden handle, with the ”crowned hand” symbol on the blade. It is made in Savoie since 1890.
The ”Slim” is now available in beech wood version, very accessible during outdoor activities

Double polish for a mirror effect, We use Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel. It is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives excellent cutting edge.Blade hardness 57-58 HRC. The Padouk is a dense African wood with a thin grain. Its colour varies from purple-brown to pinky with purple veins.
